United Way Campaign 2021

The following message from President Capilouto was sent to employees on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021. 

Dear Colleagues,

As has been our tradition, the University of, for and with Kentucky is dedicated to our mission of serving and caring for our Commonwealth. For more than 156 years, we have evolved — together — alongside the Lexington and Kentucky communities in fulfilling our promises to impact our state in meaningful ways.

We know, just from this past year, that when we work together, we become stronger and more united in our sense of purpose. Our partnership with United Way of the Bluegrass is a testament to the remarkable power of kindness and partnership.

United Way of the Bluegrass has worked hard to provide basic needs, education and financial stability to individuals, families and entire communities across the Commonwealth for 100 years. To continue this hard work, they need our help.

Please join me through October 29th, 2021, in supporting our United Way campaign with donations. United Way ensures that your gifts will stay in our community, making it possible for Kentucky children and youth to achieve their full potential through education; for families to become more financially stable and independent; and for communities to receive the help they need through uncertain times. Your help is increasingly important now as our state emerges from the pandemic.
