Campus Community, 
 
As I communicated in my message to campus last semester, the Board of Trustees has directed us to proceed with next steps in reviewing and revising the Administrative Regulations (ARs) to ensure they align with the institution’s updated Governing Regulations (GRs).
 
Per the Interim AR 1:6, Formulation and Issuance of University Administrative Regulations, the campus community is asked to comment on the draft ARs, for my approval, during this spring semester. The feedback process is described in Interim AR 1:6, section II. 

The feedback I requested from you last October about AR: Faculty Senatewas critical to my review process. Today, I am asking you for your insights on five more drafts.
 
The next drafts for your review are: Administrative Authority of the President; Academic Freedom and Freedom of Speech (see GR I — Declaration of Principles on academic freedom); Appointment of Employees; Employee Code; The President’s Council.

Your feedback can be provided anonymously until March 26, using this form

We will continue to release additional AR drafts for your review throughout the spring semester. Please note that the feedback duration is typically one week, but the deadline for reviewing these five drafts has been extended because of spring break.

Throughout this process, your feedback is critical. We hope you will take this opportunity to once again review and share your thoughts before my approval of each AR.
